Articles Duke of Devonshire Cuts Ribbon At Bridge Opening Ceremony (Mar 2013) 21/05/201326/02/2014 David Marriott, John Pitt The 21st March saw the grand opening ceremony of the Locked Bridge, very ably organized by Chris Pryor. Here he is with the Duke, looking very pleased with himself, and so he should be having managed the project to a successful conclusion! The President welcomed the Duke, gave him a brief history of the Locked Bridge, explained the absence of a locked gate (Peak Park pettiness) and invited him to perform the official opening. The ceremony went extremely well, the Duke complimenting Gerald on a job well done and also the Club for its stewardship of the river. Related
